Jan. 3 – Suffered a groin injury during the Islanders’ 5-2 win at Calgary. The injury forced him to miss the next seven games.
Feb. 10 – Scored his 100th NHL career point, assisting on Michael Grabner’s second-period goal in a 4-3 shootout win at Montreal.
Feb. 13 – Had three assists in a 7-6 overtime win at Buffalo, capping a three-game assist streak for the Islanders.
March 2 – Nets his 10th multi-point game of the season with his second three-point night of the year in a 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
March 30 – Scored his seventh shorted-handed goal of the season in a 3-2 loss at New Jersey, tying former Islanders forward Bob Bourne for most single-season short-handed goals in franchise history.
March 31 – Suffered a season-ending concussion in a 6-2 home win over the NY Rangers.
